A Huntington Beach native and top WCT competitor, surfer Timmy Reyes recently signed an exclusive deal with Arnette, making him the center of focus in the surf brand’s advertisements, catalogs and point-of-sales materials, according to a press release issued Monday, March 3, by the action sport and youth lifestyle eyewear retailer.
“Timmy is an amazing addition to the Arnette team,” Joe Freitag, Arnette Brand Manager, said. “His spirit, natural ability, and dedication to surfing are the perfect compliment to what Arnette represents. Timmy is the full package and we are very excited to have him flying the Arnette flag.”
The surfer said he is honored to be a part of the Arnette family. “I have surfed for them in the past and I will have the logo proudly shown on my boards for the 2008 year and beyond. Let’s go! ” Reyes said. “I love the product – they are great in the heat and teh sun of the tropics. I didn’t wear glasses much until I wore these. I can’t keep them off my ugly mug.”
Some of Reyes recent career highlights include reaching the semi-finals at the Reef Haleiwa Pro in 12-foot surf, and making the quarterfinals at the O’Neill World Cup of Surfing at Sunset Beach. He went on to catch one of the biggest waves in recent memory at Backdoor and won Best Tube Ride in the Billabong Free Wave Challenge this past winter.
