Blue Tomato Welcomes Philipp Schuster

Online boardsports shop Blue Tomato has added streetskater Philipp Schuster to the family.

“There is no doubt that skate culture is finally spreading its way across the whole of Europe. Blue Tomato are the perfect partner in order to make the most out of this situation,” commented Schuster, “Blue Tomato has been a big player in the snowboarding business for years and is also making a name for itself when it comes to skateboarding. This gives me the opportunity to share my visions with the world, especially in order to campaign for more public acceptance of skateboarding.”

Get to know Schuster and his new Blue Tomato team right here:

Speaking of making things a reality – the Viennese skate pro has got a lot of projects going on himself. When he’s not on his board, you’ll probably catch him carrying around 25kgs of photography equipment from spot to spot. Next to skating, photography is Philipp’s passion, not only because of his photography degree. He captures the life of the skateboarding scene in his pictures and collects them for his skate magazine, “TROTTOIR”. He has used this outlet to make significant contributions to the documentation and development of the scene over the past four years.

“We are looking forward to making plenty of new ideas and visions a reality together with Philipp!” said the Blue Tomato Headquarters.

Blue Tomato Team-Manager Vanessa Waldenhofer is also more than happy with the newest addition to the team: “Philipp suits our team perfectly, with his combination of skating talent, creativity and motivation. After countless contest victories, the title of European Champion, huge stacks of photos, news stories and interviews in magazines, as well as a number of creative video parts, it is still always a pleaseure to see him skate live.”

Every new team member at Blue Tomato is celebrated with a huge contest. This time, get ready for prizes from Red Bull, Family Distribution, Globe, Blue Tomato and Blind and Fury. For more info about the contest, check out the Blue Tomato website at
