Bodies Of Two Missing Snowboarders Found

Wolf Creek Ski Area

Sheriff’s deputies announced that the bodies of two snowboarders missing since January were found Monday near the boundary of Wolf Creek Ski Area.

Michael George and Kyle Kerschen, both 27, were reported missing on January 5, and an ongoing search by the families has been underway for the last five months. A search dog came across a scent that led to helicopters being called in. One of the bodies was found around 1 p.m. outside the ski area’s boundary; a helicopter spotted the other around 4 p.m., according to KOB, the NBC affiliate in Albuquerque, which also reports that a snowboard was found near the bodies.

The bodies are currently en route to Colorado Springs for autopsies.
