Fox, Tavik and Vans will debut new swim collections at ASR and CLASS in September, and will be joined by some of the strongest names in swim such as Roxy, Billabong, Volcom, O’Neill, Rip Curl, Body Glove and Reef. Here’s some additional details from ASR:
“San Juan Capistrano, CA (July 29, 2009) – Buyers from around the world are looking forward to making a splash into swim buying at ASR Marketplace. Not only will buyers be met with established boutique, surf inspired and high-end fashion swim brands, but also the launch of new swim lines and extended categories from swim's most beloved designers. From September 10th-12th, over 70 brands will preview swim under one roof in San Diego, CA.
"ASR is the only place to shop certain west coast and surf inspired brands," says Andy Tompkins, ASR Group Show Director. "With the creation of a swim lounge within ASR, the debut of CLASS@ASR and the high energy ASR Runway, the ASR Marketplace is an outstanding swim platform."
Buyers are eagerly anticipating the debut of full swim collections from Vans, Fox Head and Tavik. ASR Marketplace will be the first opportunity to preview these complete lines at a single event. The launches are joined by the strongest names in swim such as Roxy, Billabong, Volcom, O'Neill, Rip Curl, Body Glove and Reef.
"I do all of my buying for spring and most of summer at ASR. It is a great relief to get it all done in three days," explains Cecilia Filter, Owner of Bird Rock Bikini. "ASR has everything I need in one place, all my current lines, new lines I’d like to see and incredibly informative seminars."
In their first trip to San Diego, Tigerlily, Red Carter, Surfkini and Quiksilver Women swim will preview collections at CLASS@ASR. The new, higher-end event will also feature spring and summer swim from L*Space, Despi, Betsy Johnson, Becca, Lucky Brand, Onda De Mar, Surfkini, Insight and Vitamin A.
"With the pull of ASR combined with the brand collective of CLASS@ASR, we believe the mix of fashion retailers and swimwear buyers will make the perfect audience to debut Despi's 2010 collection of swimwear and après swim accessories,” says Paola Incisia, Owner of Despi, showing at CLASS@ASR, part of the ASR Marketplace.
Some established swim brands are looking to expand for spring 2010. L*Space's new collaborative line with OmniPeace takes inspiration from African villages, while giving back 20% of proceeds to the villagers in need. Meanwhile, the jewelry and accessories in Despi's catalogs will launch as a collection for spring.
