Companies ‘Go Green’ on Earth Day: What Are You Doing For the Environment?

earthdaylogo.jpg Earth Day is here and Transworld Business is looking at how companies across the board are taking action.

Within the action sports industry, SIA announced in its newsletter the launch of its first-ever Sustainability Charter, which will use survey opinions gathered from companies the organization represents. The SIMA Green Boot Camp is today from noon to 4 p.m., and the Surfrider Foundation – an organization dedicated to protecting the ocean and its waves every day of the year – is holding events from Hawaii to D.C. in recognition of Earth Day. Sector 9 Skateboards campaign “Push Don’t Pollute” encourages people to find alternate methods of transportation, such as skateboarding, and provides tips on other ways people can save the environment. Now might also be a good time to sign up for the Action Sports Environmental Coalition’s newsletter. Check out the Web site HERE.

Transworld Business wants to know what your company is up to. Let us and the entire action sports world know your eco-friendly initiatives by posting in our forum’s letters to the editor section HERE. Check back throughout the day as Transworld continues to update this list:
