AS REPORTED IN JUNE 2008 TRANSWORLD BUSINESS
All of the data for the charts on this page were collected each month during the one-year time period from April 2007 through March 2008. The sales timeline shows that, on a national level, there was relatively little variance in skate hardgoods sales except for a big spike in December. Also, like we saw in the surf hardgoods data printed in the April issue, the class earning retailers the most revenue is also the class earning them the lowest margins. In the skate hardgoods category, the Short Decks class dominates sales volume, but only provides retailers with a 38 percent average margin.
