CSCUSA Annual Meeting and Forum: Get Back to Nature

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE – Crested Butte, CO –  Colorado Ski Country USA has announced speakers for its 45th annual meeting.
Attendees will have the chance to glean knowledge from experts in a variety of fields. Author Richard Louv will talk about nature deficit disorder and its impact on today’s children. Featured Speaker Chris Davenport will recount some of his notable adventures including climbing and skiing Colorado’s 54 fourteeners. Richard Louv- Author Richard Louv is an author and futurist focused on nature, family and community. His most recent book, “Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children From Nature-Deficit Disorder” (Algonquin), has stimulated an international conversation about the future relationship between children and nature, and has helped spawn a movement that is now moving into the international sphere.

Chris Davenport- Big Mountain Skier Chris Davenport  is considered one of the world’s most accomplished big mountain skiers.  A former alpine downhill racer, he is also an extreme skiing champion and featured in over twenty ski films. Recently, Davenport became the first person to ski all 54 of Colorado’s 14ers in one year.

Roger Dow- Roger Dow is president and chief executive officer of the Travel Industry Association (TIA), the national umbrella organization representing all segments of the $740 billion U.S. travel and tourism industry.
