After months of campaign ads and the seemingly never ending onslaught of telephone calls on behalf of the presidential candidates, the time has finally come: Election Day. While it’s easy to be discouraged by the current state of the union, it is more important now than ever before to get out and vote and let your voice be heard.
Although environmental protection is often present in political rhetoric, it is our responsibility to ensure that it stays that way. Being politically active allows us the opportunity to ensure that those in office are cognizant of potential threats to environmental health and that they are working to protect the landscapes that we live, work and play in.
