LAKEWOOD, NJ., (May 28, 2008) ? Ergophobia, a surf and skate apparel brand for men and women, is pleased to announce its 2008 athletes. The well rounded surf team and growing skate team consist of riders, each with a unique style and persona. With the skate team including Ronnie Creager and the surf team with Shea Lopez, Ergophobia is looking forward to a solid year both in the water and out.

Ergophobia’s skate team includes pro riders Ronnie Creager and Gary Smith. Goofy-footed Creager is known for his effortless style in technical street skating as seen in Blind’s film “What If?”. Coming off an injury, Creager is filming for another well anticipated Blind video part. Smith, a Baltimore native, and owner of Baltimore’s Vu Skateshop will be competing at various Dew Tour stops, along with spending time running skate camps. Ergophobia’s skate team is rounded out with amateur skaters Andrew Cannon, Shawn Hale, Tom Geilfuss, and Ki Realer.
Ergophobia’s pro surf team includes Shea Lopez, Wesley DeSouza, Matt Keenan, Luke Ditella, Josie Graves, Jensen Callaway, Alejo Marin, and Brendan Buckley. Lopez, who surfed the World Championship Tour (WCT) holding a solid position there until he suffered a knee injury during the 2003 Pipeline Masters, is now back on top of his game and surfing as strong as ever. Keep your eyes peeled for footage of Shea tracking swells around the world. DeSouza, 23, is competing for his second year on the World Qualifying Series (WQS). New Jersey’s Keenan plans to spend the remainder of the year surfing on the North America WQS tour while continuing to coach the grom squad. Ditella, another New Jersey native, is coming off a win at the Garden State Grudge Match Trials and plans to focus on filming and shooting for various projects. Puerto Rico native, Josie Graves, has been ripping in contests hosted by the Association of Latin American Surfing Professionals (ALAS). Marin, a San Juan, Puerto Rico local and recent college graduate, will be traveling throughout South America on photo trips, while Callaway and Buckley will be surfing the ASP North America Jr. pro tour.
