A company’s skate team is one of its most important marketing tools, and no one knows that better than the folks over at etnies. A ton of time goes into making sure the riders are a good fit to represent the brand, and so it was with a drum-rolling air of suspense that I opened the following photo that etnies’ Ashton Maxfield attached to a message to check out who’s on the team.
That vicious beast is Ashton’s chihuahua Brooklyn, who is actually running etnies’ new dog tags that are being released with Kyle Leeper’s new Perro shoe for Spring 2010. “The first shoe designed and tested by Kyle Leeper was also the first etnies Recognition shoe to feature G2 Platinum,” says Maxfield. “This slim vulcanized shoe features a one-piece toe cap, and is featured in a brand new Perro Perro colorway for Spring 2010. A one-piece blucher toe looks great, and functionally it has significantly less stitching to wear and tear on grip tape. The inspiration for this colorway was taken from his Boxer dog, Lexi, and features black suede, a brown gum nose, a pink tongue as well as an etnies dog tag.”
etnies is also launching a dog beauty pageant on its site so get on there and upload pictures of your hound.
