Factory Design Labs, a global creative agency based in Denver, hired Oakley marketing guru Scott Bowers as its chief brand officer. Bowers will remain involved with Oakley as their brand development advisor, while acting as Factory’s lead brand and creative contact for Oakley.
“Factory has worked with Scott for seven years to help build the Oakley brand and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Factory team,” said Scott Mellin, CEO of Factory Design Labs. “Partnering with global lifestyle brands to solve complex business problems and develop authentic stories is the core of the Factory business, and Scott’s vast experience building Oakley into one of the world’s most iconic brands will be a huge asset to our clients.”
Bowers brings to Factory his brand development experience, as well as an expertise in strategic planning, sales, sports marketing, global integrated campaigns, and ecommerce. Bowers has been recognized by Sporting Goods Business as one of the top marketers in the sports industry, and was named one of the 100 Marketers of the Year by Ad Age.
“I have been proud to work hand-in-hand with Factory to build the Oakley brand for the past seven years and am thrilled to become a key member of the Factory team to bring my branding expertise to the agency,” said Bowers. “At Factory, not only will I continue to lead Oakley’s innovative brand vision, but will also work closely with Factory’s entire roster of impressive global clients.”
