Questions answered by Sales Manager Eric Hutchison
What are the biggest forces shaping the changes and developments you've made to your boards?
The camber/rocker/hybrid trend is a constantly moving target we continue to try to stay out in front of. We were leaders in the rocker trend and have continued to evolve that technology based on market demands. Our Baseline story is an extremely versatile profile technology and our introduction this year of our new Tweekend tip and tail profiles were a nice evolution of this design. Expect to see another evolution of Baseline for 2013.
To what degree are you emphasizing camber shape and core profiles in your lineup?
It's the backbone of our line differentiation. We have unique tip and tail profiles built around our Baseline camber technology designed to optimize the ride-ability of each board for its target rider and conditions.
Are you cooking up any new materials or construction techniques?
What themes are you seeing for graphics?
For us at K2 we really saw an opportunity to embrace our Pacific Northwest roots and take on a more muted tone. Although we kept the bright colors where they needed to be, our line as a whole is simply more raw.
