Lightning Bolt Hires National Sales Manager

Drew Lumsden has joined the Lightning Bolt USA crew as its new National Sales Manager, elevating longtime Lightning Bolt sales guru BG Porter to the new role of creative director. Lumsden, who has worked for high-end retailers such as Fred Segal and with brands such as Warriors of Radness, will work closely with retail accounts in the U.S. and  focus on growing sales, implementing new retail marketing strategies and help bridge partnerships to host in-store promotions with major retailers such as Bloomingdales and Fred Segal.

Lumsden boasts a strong sales background, holding prominent positions at a number of respected companies in the industry:  He held an international account executive position at the prestigious Opening Ceremony showroom in New York and with Warriors of Radness in Los Angeles; held a North American account executive position at Ksubi; and has sales experience at several high-end retailers, including Fred Segal.

In other brand news, BG Porter who joined the company in 2008 has assumed the role of creative director. In his new position, he will be responsible for all design and merchandising of the collection and steer the brand from a creative standpoint. He will also oversee key accounts and work with the brand globally to ensure synergy. "I change light bulbs, recycle, dance like no one is watching and sing like no one can hear," says Porter.  "And I'll also oversee all design aspects of the brand."
