Michael Gregory Takes the Reins

Certainly not a new face on the Mammoth park scene, Gregory was born and raised in Mammoth Lakes, growing up in the heart of the ski and snowboard industries. With a degree from Whittier College in Business Administration and Management, 13 seasons working for Mammoth and six in the Unbound, Gregory brings a unique, well-rounded and creative vision to Unbound Terrain Parks and is a key component in the future of Mammoth's success. As Director, Michael will continue to oversee all operational aspects of Mammoth's Terrain Parks, as well as Unbound sponsorship management and fulfillment.

As Mammoth's youngest Department Head, Gregory was nominated for top "30 Under 30" in Ski Area Management Magazine, has overseen four USSA Grand Prix's, developed and executed a private US Ski and Snowboard Team training ground, designed and reformatted the West Coast Invitational, among many accomplishments.

"Unbound continues to be an integral part of Mammoth's reputation and continued success—Michael's new role, and the changes to come, will only magnify the innovation and quality guest experience in our parks," said Mark Brownlie, Managing Director of Athletics at Mammoth Mountain.

Poffley to Unbound

Originally from Pennsylvania, Poffley has called Mammoth home for the past ten years, beginning his career as a Mammoth fleet cat driver in 2002, and previously working for Mammoth Unbound in the 2006/2007 season. In addition, Poffley spent three summers at Falls Creek, Australia as a park builder and one at Vail before coming to June. With six seasons at June Mountain, three of those as Park Manager, Poffley successfully elevated June as one of the top overall parks in the country. At June, he was responsible for all daily operations, sponsorship management, event planning, photo shoot execution and marketing of the terrain parks. This winter, Mammoth will look to Poffley to lead the Unbound team in creating inspired products that open the world of terrain parks to everyone and continue to push what is possible within the action sports realm.
