Monix, the sister brand to Mission Six, may have got lost in the shuffle for a while but the board sport brand made a serious comeback at the SIA trade show in Vegas last month with its colorful and flashy lines of outerwear and apparel for 2008-09.
The brand is a creative mix of what sales and marketing manager Sherryl Lynn calls “a combination of competitive pricing, great functionality and a subtle sphoistication not found in other brands.” Although it had been off the market for the past two years, Monix reps are proud to announce that the Nevada, Calif.-based brand will be back in stores for the 2008 season, according to a press release issued Thursday, Feb. 28, by the company.
“The color story and several of the bodies are influened by high fashion, bu yet are extremely wearable with a technical interpretation,” Lynn said about the newest line.
Monix will also gain returning team members Mission Six’s Laurie Currier, who will be riding at the Vans World cup event at Northstar. Currier will be joined on the team by Jenna Waite, a Salt Lake City native.
