Questions answered by Snow Sales Manager Mike Gagliardi
What are the biggest forces shaping the changes and developments you've made to your boards?
Feedback from our riders, in house product development staff, retailers and end consumers. We do our best to listen, evaluate and improve.
To what degree are you emphasizing camber shape and core profiles in your lineup?
Zero emphasis for pure camber shape – that still is antiquated ski technology. Rocker Camber Technology is the Science of Snowboarding….perfected!
Are you cooking up any new materials or construction techniques?
We always are doing R and D on new materials, glues, construction processes and shapes. We currently have an incredible strength to weight ratio and a less than 1% warranty ratio. If we can streamline a process in construction, or use a better, more efficient material that will increase the strength to weight ratio we will implement it. However, we will not change a process or material unless there is strong justification that it is a distinct improvement for our customers and our brand.
What themes are you seeing for graphics?
We have always been fairly straightforward in our graphics, and designed board artwork oriented towards the clean icons that define our brand. Our park series and all mountain freestyle boards are exceptions to that as we do want to keep those boards a bit edgier in their presentation. Our customers appreciate the fact that we keep it fairly consistent, clean and progressive. Oh there will be an eagle or two on the lineup as well.
