New Era’s Fresh Cap Ideas Make Waves in Mainstream Media

According to a story posted Thursday, March 27, by the Associated Press, New Era Caps has been keeping a “hawk eye” watch on fashion trends in order to continue providing consumers with the freshest styles in head wear. Thirty designers at New Era Cap Co.’s Headquarters keep in touch with 15 colleagues in London and five in Irvine, Calif., in order to brainstorm new ideas and keep hat logos fresh, the story reported.

New Era, an 88-year-old, family-owned company, has been on the up and up lately, selling more than 35 million caps last year alone, according to the AP. But New Era’s design team admitted there was a method to the madness, revealing that by keeping such a close eye on trends in the world of hats, they have been able to predict the type of person who wears each particular style – right down to where they live and what they wear.
