OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE – FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., Dec. 2, 2008 – Oakley today announced a competition at www.OakleyPilots.com to recruit the top 50 hardcore Oakley fans to participate in its new consumer ambassador program as Oakley Factory Co-Pilots.
The contest will run on www.OakleyPilots.com through January 10, 2009. To participate, Oakley fans need to share their story online by submitting photos or video along with a completed entry form. Entries will be judged based on creativity and proof that they belong in the top 50. Appointed Factory Co-Pilots will be notified on January 20, 2009.
"The idea behind the Oakley Factory Co-Pilot program is to educate our die-hard fans beyond their Oakley addiction to truly appreciate the culture, dedication to quality, innovative and technological foundation that is Oakley," said Joanne Yu Jordan, direct marketing manager, Oakley.
The Factory Co-Pilot Team will head to Oakley's Worldwide Headquarters for an Oakley Boot Camp where they will become true brand ambassadors. The boot camp will take place February 20 – 21, 2009 and will include a behind-the-scenes factory tour, product demonstrations, bunker chats, activities, exclusive Oakley merchandise and more. Airfare, meals and accommodations will be sponsored by Oakley.
