Sam Adams Recognized as “Rep of the Year” for 2009 Regional Sales

Fierce competition for the top with ties for second and third place

Steamboat Springs, Colorado (February 4th, 2010) Chaos Headwear announced Sam Adams of Western States Sales Marketing, (WA, OR, UT, NV, MT) the "Rep of the Year Award."  The awards were given for best regional sales in 2009 at the SIA- Snow Sports trade show in Denver, CO., January, 30th 2010.

The award is based on set sales criteria for 2009: most new accounts, most pre-season orders and re-orders, co-brands, branding and merchandising.

The title award was a monetary bonus and plaque.  The plaque read the "Honorary Mayor of Ski Tops Town"- a reference to the parent company, Ski Tops, by Dogree Fashions in Montreal. I asked the 'mayor,' what made the difference this year, Adams said, "merchandising, 1/he sold more racks this year to more retailers, this allowed the brand to have a stronger presence in his key accounts, and great product of course. The CTR line has also grown my business, we are the alternative… and doing a better job than our competitors at cold weather innovations."

Adams narrowly passed veteran Chaos representative, Marty Roth in New England (ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI) for second. Marty has been with Chaos for over 5 years and thoroughly represents the brand in key resorts and retailers in New England- her other lines include: Descente, DNA and Neve.  In a third place tie were the 'Accessory Gals', Sherry Krum and Chris Parsons for the East Coast-Mid Atlantic territory with 'Best and Associates' in the Rocky Mountain Region (CO, WY, UT, NM). 'Accessory Gals' are new to the Chaos roster for 2009 and are taking the job seriously—the east coast seaboard is now covered. Best and Associates, had taken the title for the previous two years and it appears other sales' team members were anxious to wear the Mayor's ribbon this year.
