Today's "Why Didn't We Think Of That?" product of the day goes to the new RPRT/Curad collab on signature skateboard bandages.RPRT Communications' Matt Meyerson and Jeff Kendall have teamed up with Medline Industries and Curad to release a line of officially licensed Skate bandages (think Band Aid's but that's trade marked). It's pretty genius actually. Skater kids love stickers, their moms love bandages, and they're always banged up (not their moms, the kids).
The first series of bandages features decks from NHS's line up and Flip and are available across the country at retailers including Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie, and Duane Reed.
"This project has been a labor of love that I have been working on for over 3 years," explains Meyerson. "I came up with the idea on a whim and brought a partner, former pro skater Jeff Kendall, on to help me make it a reality based on his expertise in licensing and sales within the skate industry. Together, after pitching several industry leaders, we found an amazing home with the folks at Medline (the #2 producer of bandages in the world), who saw the vision and worked with us to create the Skate Series of licensed bandages."
