SKATE FOR A CAUSE took Cinco De Mayo by storm, helping to raise an impressive $86,620 for A.skate’s Summer 2012 Tour for Children with Autism. Put on by The Sheckler Foundation and presented by etnies, the event hosted more than 30 top pro and amateur skaters and thousands of fans for five skateboarding contests and an overall good time. Get a look at what went down at SKATE FOR A CAUSE:

May 7, 2012 (San Clemente, CA) –The skateboarding started off with Sergie Ventura dominating the Fred Water Legends Bowl Contest with consistent smooth lines and solid airs in the skatepark’s Shark Bowl.

Everyone from legendary pros like Sean Sheffey to up-and-coming AMs like Alex Midler skated in the Duracell SkaterCross.  Daniel Vargas’ local knowledge of the course gave him an edge to win this contest, he’s been skating the etnies Skatepark since opening day and it showed.

Sheckler’s huge back-180 over the picnic table and kickflip from that picnic table into the bank, set the bar for the Red Bull Tech Center Best Trick Contest.

Charlie Blair unleashed a bag of tricks on the quarter pipe during the CCS Tranny Best Trick contest to win it.  Do you think it was his lip trick combos or this huge stalefish-to-fakie that earned him first place?

A varial flip, 360 flip, and a back heel were some of the tricks Kurtis Colamonico landed down the 11-stair to win during the Duracell Stairs, Hubbas, Rails Best Trick Contest.
