TransWorld SKATE C.U.T. Tour Kicks Off In Sacramento Over The Weekend

TransWorld SKATEboarding just wrapped up the first stop of its 2014 Come Up Tour presented by etnies at the Hangar Skatepark in Sacramento, California. Congratulations go out to this stop’s winner Tristen Moss, with Jerry Gurney and Brent Bell rounding out the podium with second and third place, respectively. PRESS RELEASE – CARLSBAD, Calif., April 3, 2014 – Back for year two, the TransWorld SKATEboarding "Come Up Tour" (AKA: TWS C.U.T.) is a six-stop amateur skate contest series that tours across the U.S. in search of the best unsponsored skateboarders. But the contest doesn't end there. The six regional winners will then get the chance to "Come Up!" for the grand prize, the title of C.U.T. Series Champion and a "Check Out" in TransWorld Magazine.
Step one is to compete at one of six local contests:
April 5 – Sacramento – The Hanger Skate Park (20 28th St.)
April 12 – Austin – House Skatepark (West 15th St. & Lamar Blvd.)
April 19 – Minneapolis – Familia Skatepark (835 E. Hennepin Ave.)
April 26 – Portland – Windell's Skate Park (59550 E. Hwy 26, Sandy, OR)
May 3 – Phoenix – Peoria Skatepark (8877 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria, AZ)
May 10 – New York – LES Coleman Skatepark (62 Pike St.)
Step two, each of the six regional event winners will then get a month to film a video part that will be hosted on TWSkate.com. Fans will have two weeks to vote for their favorite and then the skater with the most votes will be named TWS C.U.T. Series Champion.
Each local stop will also dole out tons of gear and other prizes from sponsors: Etnies, Alien Workshop, Fred Water, Art Of Board, Windell's Camp, Official, Asphalt Yacht Club, Dakine, Stance, Independent, Bones, and Rastaclat.
