Regular footers defeat Goofys in etnies GvR Snow

Oceanside, Calif.–February 27, 2008– Transworld SNOWboarding's Regular team was ready to rumble as they hit the fresh powder that awaited them at the inaugural etnies GvR Snow on Saturday, February 23. As the day progressed from bluebird skies to snowflakes the size of ping pong balls, the team made the most of their finals run and laid the smack down on the FUEL TV's Goofy Footed riders.

With TW Snow Editor in Chief Kurt Hoy at the helm, the starting five for the Regular footers were Austin Smith, Joe Sexton, JP Walker, Markku Koski and Robbie Walker. FUEL TV's Director, John Stouffer, came out to lead Team Goofy with his starting five: Nick Dirks, Louie Vito, Ryan Thompson, Simon Chamberlain and Chris Bradshaw.

The final score left the Regular footers victorious with 2,747 points over Goofy's 2,345. Juuso Lavisto hit the monster hip at the bottom and earned both first place—which netted him a cool $9K—and Regular team MVP. The day was good for the mountain, as well, with Bear selling-out lift tickets to the more than 7,000 people in attendance.

Post-contest, the always entertaining Ghostface Killah played a free show on the Bear Mountain sun deck. The crowd braved the late rain to listen to his vocal stylings and watch a gaggle of girls dance to the beats.
