Chris Quinn, National Sales Manager:
What are the biggest changes in the outerwear market you’re seeing for this winter on the business front?
Production and shipping from Asia have gone through some real tough times. I’m glad to say our company made it through this season unscathed due to our diligence throughout the process. Our owners went over there after SIA, and stayed through the shipping season to oversee every step.
What fabrics, colors, and technologies are you focusing on for next season?
We continue to source awesome woven fabrics, while creating a color story and prints that come from the tons of feedback of all our retailers. They are on the frontline, hearing what the customers want. Retailers are our partners and we need to listen to them in order to make sound decisions to produce sellable goods.
How have you responded to the current market and the decrease in prebooks?
We take everything in stride, and roll with the market. Fortunately, we actually experienced an increase in prebook last year. It helps to stay positive and continue to evolve, regardless of the “perception” of the market.
Have you changed your distribution at all from last season? Why or why not?
Our distribution is growing, and we couldn’t be happier. It’s great to see our efforts in product and marketing are turning heads!
