Vermont Resorts Have Best Year Since 2001

4.5 million visits by 4,513,041 skiers and riders.

During the Vermont Ski Areas Association annual meeting at Stowe Mountain Resort, the state’s resorts celebrated their best season since 2001. Skier and rider visits went up nearly 16 percent from last year, and this season was ranked the second best season on record. Vermont has been ranked first in the East and third nationwide for skiing and riding (Colorado and California took the top spots).

Jay Peak Resort president Bill Stenger was presented with the Industry Achievement award, while vice president of Global Resorts at Burton Snowboards, Jeff Boliba, was awarded the Friend of the Industry Award.
