OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE – Los Angeles, Ca. (May, 6th 2008) Co-Conspirators Take Heed: Weactivists Jason Lee, Chris Pastras, Clint Peterson, Benny Fairfax, Darrel Angel, Beth Riesgraf, Chad Roberson, Alex Prager, Mercedes Helwein and Lady Tigra In The WeSC Commercial Premiere of “Cry Babies,” Tuesday, May 6th on Fuel TV. Yeah!!
Produced by the Stockholm based production company, Social Club, for MTV Scandinavia, “Cry babies” is one of four unique 20 and 30 second spots co-created by award winning director, Mattias Montereo, for WeSC. Cry Babies, the first of the 4 commercials, features Weactivists listening to their headphones, and sharing a deep emotional exchange, as only Weactivists can.
Other commercials to air throughout the late spring and summer include Weactivist and 2-time Air Guitar World Champion, Ed Leigh demonstrating his talents amidst the silence of the Stockholm Public Library, and The Lady Tigra levitating above Stockholm city benches with Amy Gunther, AC Bananas, and others. In all, more then 20 Weactivists participated in the Stockholm and Los Angeles based shoots- the fist commercial production for WeSC.
“The Superlative Conspiracy, and the network of artists and friends that WeSC activates is truly something that anyone can plug into,” says WeSC CEO and co-founder, Greger Hagelin. “Given the commercials are definitely ‘out there’, that conspiracy feeling is what we wanted to create. It’s like wanting to drink whatever it is your happiest friend is drinking. When you see Amy Gunther fold in half and Jason Lee and Chris Pastras moved to tears, you definitely wonder what’s coming from their headphones. The key here is that you must plug in and join the Conspiracy to find out!”
