Snow continued to fall as guests began lining up for first chair this morning, prior to the resort’s 9 a.m. opening.
“Waking up to nine inches of fresh powder on opening morning was certainly call for thanksgiving,” said John Garnsey, chief operating officer of Beaver Creek Resort. “We couldn’t be happier. With more snow and colder temperatures expected this weekend and into next week, we’re looking forward to additional natural accumulation and improved snowmaking conditions.”Beaver Creek opens the 2001-2002 season with two chairlifts and two runs; Gold Dust, accessible from Centennial Lift (Chair 6) and Haymeadow, accessible from Haymeadow Lift (Chair 1).Hours of Operation: Beaver Creek will operate on an early season schedule, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., through Dec. 21, at which time the resort will begin lift operations at 8:30 a.m. for the remainder of the season.
Lift Ticket Prices: Early season lift tickets purchased at the ticket window are $35 for adults and $20 for children (12 and under). All lift ticket prices are subject to change. Pass restrictions are in effect today, Friday, Nov. 23, 2001 and tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001.Parking at Beaver Creek: Both the East and West Day Lots at the base of Beaver Creek Resort are open to resort guests at no charge. Complimentary shuttle service is provided at five-minute intervals during peak periods (from 6 – 10 a.m. and 3 – 5 p.m.), and at 10-minute intervals throughout the remainder of the day from both lots.Parking is also available in Beaver Creek Village at the Village Lot at a rate of $5 per hour, not to exceed $15 per day, on a limited, first-come, first-served basis. The first two hours are free.
Kids Ski Free, Stay Free and Fly Free to Beaver Creek:
