CARLSBAD, CA. – Dragon Optical launches the first annual DRAGON AIR FORCE TOUR in Europe with huge success. This 15-day, three stop snowboarding tour included some of Europe’s finest professional snowboarders and massive fan support.
The tour took place in the Pyrenees Mountains, a mountainous region that lies between Spain and France. The three 3-day events took place in Les Angles, Ax les Thermes and ended in Cauterets with a giant concert and party after the Freestyle HO5 event.
“The tour was so successful and tightly organized,” stated Aaron Astorga, Dragon’s Team Manager. “This will be one of Europe’s strongest snowboarding events every season.”
The DRAGON AIR FORCE TOUR was hosted by Jose Morales, president of Sancheski, Dragon’s Spanish and French Distributor, and presented by Onboard magazine. Europe’s Finest snowboarders attended including; Agurtzane Otegui, Romain De Marchi, Youbi Amed, Wolle Nyvlet, Pacome Allouis Gerard Freixes, Laureut Perraud and Nicolas Waiter. They competed for cash and prizes in Big Air and Freestyle HO5 as well as performed demos for the crowd.
“This event was a lot of work, but it all paid off when thousands of people came to see their favorite snowboarders compete,” said Iker Aguirre, Dragon1s European Manager and tour coordinator. “I am very excited at the prospect of the DRAGON AIR FORCE TOUR 2003.”
