K2 is proud to announce the addition of Katrina Voutilainen and Eddie Wall to the K2 snowboarding program
Katrina Voutilainen just got 4th place in women’s slopestyle at the Winter X games last weekend. She grew up, and learned to ride in the Wasatch Mountains, only a few miles outside of Salt Lake City. Early on in her childhood, her brother pushed her snowboarding. As she progressed, she caught the eye of local shreds like Bobby Meeks, and the rest of the Brighton crew. Today, Katrina’s style and ability reflect her Utah roots, and exemplify the depth of women’s professional snowboarding.
When she’s not travelling the world, you can find her and her husband, Ami, in Truckee California, or at the local shred hill. During the summer, Katrina stays on the snow by coaching at Windell’s snowboard camp in Mt. Hood, OR. Katrina will be working closely with K2’s R&D department, focusing on their women’s specific gear. Her other sponsors include Dragon Optical and Blindside Snowboard Shop.
Eddie Wall is the newest edition to the amateur squad at K2. If you haven’t heard of Eddie yet, you will soon. This nineteen-year-old ripper grew up in Rome, PA but now resides in Mammoth California, where he’s been turning heads with his natural snowboarding talent, and super smooth style. Eddie is not only stoked on daily snowboard activities, but just on life in general. He will surely be one to watch in the near future. Just like Katrina, Eddie keeps it real at Windell’s snowboard camp where he is a digger.
K2 Snowboards would like to welcome Katrina and Eddie. For more information on the K2 Pro Team, check out their web site, www.K2snowboards.com
