K2 Snowboarding is pleased to announce Kevin English as their new team manager.
“I’m proud to say I have zero years experience in the industry. I think my rookie status will allow me to question the status quo and remind people that shredding takes place on the mountain, not the floors of the convention center in Vegas.”
Most recently Kevin was the head coach at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. Prior to that, he was a pro rider and pack designer for Sims Snowboards. Originally from Truckee, CA, the Tahoe native worked in marketing for Sugarbowl Resort in CA while earning a B.S. in Industrial Technology; he also has acted as a consultant for retail purchasing and merchandising.
“The only reason I decided to leave is because of K2’s Team and strong product lines. There is so much existing strength and future potential here!”
Regarding the team, Kevin feels “K2 is a core brand with a core team. I merely want to build on what Blue Montgomery and Brian Craighill started. I am really paring down the team leaving only the best people while seeking new talent. If someone rides for K2 it is because they’re a strong rider with a strong personality.”
Kevin’s experience in a retail environment, as a pro rider, and manager combined with his knowledge of product development make him a valuable addition to K2 Snowboarding. For more information on K2 Snowboarding and their pro riders, check out their web site at www.K2snowboarding.com
