Portland, Ore., September 18, 2001 – Millennium Three (M3), manufacturer of rider-designed progressive freestyle snowboards, is known for its website featuring its team and products via state of the art technology fused with cutting edge designs. M3 has once again raised the bar with the re-launch of www.m-three.com for the 2001/02 season. Not only are riders who visit www.m-three.com treated to the latest product offerings and team updates from M3, but they can also catch video clips such as “Beer Can Squash”, “Crazy Naked”, and Blaise’s infamous “Monkey Dance”.
From the moment riders log-on to www.m-three.com, they are treated to an online snowboarding experience like no other website has offered before. Riders are greeted by M3 team manager Romey’s news column, where they can receive all the latest scoop on the M3 team. Want to know why team rider Scotty Wittlake had his drivers license taken away, hear recent stories and misadventures from M3 road trips, and find out where the team is headed for the season? This section has all the answers.
Inside www.m-three.com, riders have complete access to M3’s expanded snowboard and softgoods line for the 2001/02 season. Not only can riders check out the specs on all the boards, they can now listen to audio clips of their favorite team riders talk about what types of conditions and terrain each board performs best in. Once riders find the board(s) and accessories they’re going to ask for this Christmas, they can search the dealer directory to find the nearest shop to pick up all the M3 goods. Team rider Mitch Nelson spent much of his summer internship at M3 compiling all the info for the dealer directory, so don’t disappoint Mitch by not checking it out.
The M3 team of Blaise Rosenthal, Brandon Bybee, Chad Otterstrom, Gabe Taylor, Kendall Whelpton, Micah McGinnity, Mikey LeBlanc, Mitch Nelson, Risto Scott, and Scotty Wittlake is also extensively featured. M3 will continually update profiles and interviews with each of the riders throughout the season and has added both audio and video clips to the site in ways that have never before been seen or heard. Listen to riders talk about recent on-hill experiences or check out the slow motion capabilities of the video clips to see just how Mikey LeBlanc sticks that frontside 270 to frontside boardslide.
“I like how the website goes a little deeper into getting the kids connected to us, with things like the Romey updates and the audio/video clips in the product section,” says M3 team rider, Mitch Nelson. “It is our brand and I’m stoked with how it all turned out.”
An additional feature to be added to www.m-three.com this season is the board registry, which will allow riders to register their name and the M3 board(s) they ride. Riders’ names will be listed alongside the corresponding M3 team rider that uses the same board. Riders will also be able to provide information such as their e-mail address and local mountain, in order to correspond with others on the registry. The board registry will allow riders to interact with one another as well as team riders and obtain feedback on the M3 products.
The new M3 website is once again designed by Portland, Oregon’s premier full-service web design firm Paris France Inc. Paris France Inc. worked with M3’s team riders and creative director Andy Wright and exhausted the capabilities of Flash to develop the most forward-thinking and interactive website on the market today. Paris France Inc. has won several awards for their design of the 1999/2000 M3 website including two prestigious national awards in the Communication Arts and British Design & Art Direction Annuals. The M3 website was only one of 37 winners selected from 2,050 entries for the 2000 Communication Arts Interactive Design Annual and one of only 107 designs out of 17,000 entries submitted to the British Design & Art Direction Annual, one of the world’s most influential design publications.
M3 has produced and marketed premium snowboards since 1998. All M3 boards are designed with input from its team riders and are proudly manufactured at its own factory in the USA.
