ANNECY, FRANCE, October 16, 2001 – Salomon Snowboards is pleased to announce the addition of ISF Half Pipe Vice World Champion Fabienne Reuteler to its International Team.Fabienne has already been included in recent team development and promotional activities and has signed an exclusive agreement to ride Salomon snowboards, boots, bindings and helmets. The 21 year old Swiss chose to ride for Salomon as she “really likes Salomon products. The product development process is great and has the team riders very involved. Salomon pays great attention to the riders’ needs .”
Fabienne is an Olympic hopeful and will be looking to keep expanding her impressive results from last year which included a 3rd place at the X-Games Half Pipe event and 1st place finishes at the final events of both the ISF and FIS tours. Don’t think that Fabienne is only a pipe jock though, she got 2nd at the Portugal Big Air event this summer and has won the Swatch BX Tour Finals for the past two years. Although she doesn’t participate in any other BX event, this event is held at her home mountain of Laax and she just can’t skip the chance to show these BX girls who’s terrain they’re on. Fabienne will be riding on the Ivy 154 with women’s specific Antidote bindings and the girl team inspired Ruby boot.
Salomon is happy to have this beautiful Swiss joining the young and powerful Salomon girl team, which already includes Annie Boulanger from Canada, Keiko Yanagisawa from Japan, Gretchen Bleiler from the USA, Minna Hesso from Finland as well as the legendary Michele Taggart. “Salomon has a great team and the atmosphere is really good” says Fabienne.
Salomon wishes the best for Fabienne in this upcoming Olympic season and we hope you get the chance to see her charging on our products.
