Surf Expo, the East Coast’s leading producer of trade shows for the boardsports and watersports industries, has locked in dates for a West Coast back-to-school show, to be held March 11–12, 2002, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
The Anaheim show is the most recent addition to Surf Expo’s back-to-school lineup, which also includes the Ocean City, Maryland Radshow. “We’re in the process of servicing the back-to-school market from coast to coast,” says Brigitte Ulanch, Surf Expo’s director of new business. “Retailers are excited to have a convenient, well-timed event where they can sell all the fall lines and write their orders.”
“Back-to-school is an important buying season that, until now, has been virtually ignored from a trade-show perspective,” says Lori Kisner, vice-president of sports/retail for dmg world media, Surf Expo’s parent company. “Manufacturers and retailers have repeatedly requested a back-to-school event, and Surf Expo is responding to their needs.”
Surf Expo’s management intends to personally contact all current exhibitors over the next month to discuss participation in this exciting new event. Companies interested in exhibiting should call Nikki Houston at 678-781-7915. For buyer information, please call Brigitte Ulanch at 678-781-7979.
In January, Surf Expo, the longest-running trade show in the surf industry, celebrated its 25th anniversary. The next Surf Expo will be held in conjunction with Wakeboard & Waterski Expo and Windsurf Expo, September 21-23, 2001, in Orlando, Florida. More information is available online at surfexpo.com.
