This Winter Third Warmest On Record

Mother Nature has not played fair this year as the entire United States encountered what has been deemed the third warmest winter on record based on average temperature, according to the National Weather System. The average temperature this winter has been 42.9 degrees tying the record set in the winter of 1949-50. In addition, precipitation figures are down 50% below normal. In the month of February alone, only 1.17 inches of precipitation fell across the United States, making February the second driest month on record since 1895 to present, according to the National Climatic Data Center.
