True Street Urgent Update

THE LOWDOWN
Never before has there been a ProContest in the real streets, the trueessence of skateboarding. With “TrueStreet,” the course is the whole damnworld and the skaters get three monthsinstead of 60 seconds to do their stuff.With over $24,000 on the line andunlimited options, this will be thesickest and most anticipated contestever.

HOW IT WORKS
April 1st skaters will be given a list of20 tricks or criteria to film. With threemonths to shoot they will hit thestreets with their favoritecinematographer. The raw footage willbe judged with the best overall partwinning.

THE VIDEO,PREMIER &AWARDS
The Contest will be edited together inthe form of a video to be sold inskateboard and specialty shopsworldwide. The video Premier andAwards Ceremony will take place inconjunction with the September 2000A.S.R. show. A Television special willbe filmed at the premier and aired at alater date.

FOOTAGE REQUIREMENTS:
A. All footage must be submitted onBeta or Digital format.
B. Footage should be on one tape,rough edited with as much roll up androll away as you have. Include anyother submissions for Best Trick,Worst Slam, lifestyle shots, outtakesetc. at end of tape. Do not put musicon tape, we will edit everyone’sfootage in the same manner before thejudges view it.
C. Footage must be all original (neverbefore seen on video, TV, commercialsetc.). Footage may be used that wasfilmed before April 1st 2000, as long asit fits the criteria, and has never beenused before.
D. Since this is “True Street,” noskatepark or ramp footage will beallowed, only real street. Ditches,backyard pools etc. are acceptable.

VIDEOGRAPHER PAY RATE (exceptgrand prize):
A. $25 Per trick or slam and other 20item list requirements.
B. Clips under 2 seconds, andnon-skate footage (outtakes, lifestyleetc.) will be used for courtesy creditonly.

RIGHTS TO USE OF FOOTAGE:
A. We will retain the right to reproducefootage for sale on video cassette, CDROM and DVD.
B. We will retain the right to broadcastfootage on TV.
C. We will retain the right to usefootage as promotion for “TrueStreet” in any medium.
D. Videographer will retain ownershipof footage.

FINAL VIDEO FORMAT:
A. Top ten skaters will have their entireparts in the video. All others will havetheir best tricks used in montages.
B. Skaters not completing all 20requirements should submit footageanyhow for montages, and for entry in”Best Trick” etc. categories.

JUDGING:
TRUE STREET will be judged by a panelof judges in the same manner as atraditional competition. Riders will bejudged on difficulty, style, variety, andcreativeness.

SIGNING UP:
Skaters can fill out form and fax back,or team managers may fax list of allteam riders who wish to participate.Entries are due March 24, 2000. Besure to include address, phone #,E-mail address, and list all sponsors ofeach rider.
