Wave Rave Outerwear invided select retailers, international distributors, reps, and design students to preview its 2001 designs at a secret meeting held late summer. Hosted by the Art Institute of Colorado, the two-day meeting consisted of silhouette previews, colorway discussions, feature analysis and heated debates about some groundbreaking designs.
“Wave Rave made its name as an innovator in this industry and thats where our future is too,” says Wave Rave Lead Designer Kim Glather. “Retailers have been complaining about how every line today looks like another. I dare anybody to say that about the 2001 Wave Rave line.”
Founded in 1986, Wave Rave Outerwear was one of the pioneers of snowboard couture and since has consistantly set the industry standard by offering cutting edge styles, features, and materials.
In related news, Wave Rave has hired Ken Akey as the newest member of its rep force. Based out of New Hampshire, Akey currently reps Joyride and brings a strong network of core shops into the Wave Rave family.
