Discover Bloukrans Bridge, the world’s highest bridge bungee jump

For bungee enthusiasts looking for their spring break adrenalin fix, South Africa might have the perfect bridge for you. At 709 feet, Bloukrans Bridge is the highest bridge you can bungee from without getting into a lot of trouble, and its just 55 feet short of the world’s highest commercial bungee jumping spot: Macau Tower in China. Bungee jumping was introduced to the African continent at Bloukrans Bridge in 1990. Since then, thousands have traveled there to take the terrifying plunge. What’s more, Bloukrans Bridge’s record-setting heights have inspired record-setting efforts, and the record for most bungee jumps in a day was set here in 2011. The year previous, the oldest person to ever bungee jump leapt into the record books from Bloukrans Bridge at age 96. Check out this harrowing high dive below.
