Coming hot off a win for 2014 Movie of the Year at Surfer Poll, Globe’s latest film, “Strange Rumblings in Shangri La,” is the talk of the town. The film features the incredibly talented Globe surf team as they quest around the world searching for the mythical and magical Shangri-la. In one section of the film, the crew heads to the frigid waters of Iceland, and while they don’t find Shangri-la, they find amazing waves set in a beautiful, albeit frozen, landscape.

Pro surfers Nate Tyler, Dion Agius, and Brendon Gibbens donned their best 4/5 mm wetsuits and ventured into iceberg-infested waters (with the help of an all-terrain ice-breaker) and the footage they came back with is breathtaking—literally. It takes your breath away with how damn cold it looks! The guys ripped regardless of the water and the section in its entirety is beautiful.
