The DB9 from CWB is new, light, green and innovative. Our new Bamcore is earth friendly using Bamboo sheets blended with PVC foam. It has a tensile strength and weight to strength ratio superior to steel, yet is light, flexible and resists compression. The Bamcore is wrapped in carbon for strength and weight savings. A huge center spine runs tip to tail on an otherwise clean and smooth nylon base. The beveled variable edge rail is also new; thin at the tips, thick in the middle. An aggressive continuous rocker and mid width delivers lift like you have only previously experienced in your dreams. Coming soon.

During the weekend of the 5th of September the conclusion of the Teisseire King of the Lake Wakesurf Tour took place at Angon, Talloires on Lake Annecy. Labeled the biggest wakesurf contest in the world for a reason, the inscription saw the arrival of just under a hundred riders from across the globe with different categories for men, women and kids. Among them included professionals Chase Hazen from California and Dominic Lagacé from Québec, both demonstrating the best of what can be done behind the boat.

Thousands of spectators set up camp on the grass in front of the dock and were able to watch the event unfold while enjoying

the live music of DJ Radiomeuh and making the most of the giant tartiflette and the Teisseire bar. Great weather and a relaxed atmosphere welcomed the riders for Saturday's qualifying runs with local wakeboard school, Wake the Best, supplying the two Super Air Nautique 230's to pull them.

Sunday morning got underway with the semifinal stage and by that afternoon the top ten riders had sealed their spot in the final. With no division between surf and skim style, the big debate was which pro would be crowned king. It was eventually Shred Stixx rider Chase Hazen who came out on top getting the best out of the choppy conditions. Teammate Rebecca Ort won the women's and local rider Chris Bise won the overall tour concluding an epic summer and a great weekend.

Teisseire King of the Lake would like to thank Etnies, Correct Craft, Smith Optics, Liquid Force, Hyperlite, AFWS and Unleashed magazine for sponsorship.

Tea Time with Marc Rossiter

PW:How do you take your tea?

MR:Milk and one sugar but I am still yet to have a proper builders cup of tea here.

PW:What's the normal english breakfast?

MR:Sausage Bacon Egg Toast Grilled Tomato

PW:Sounds like a grand slam at Dennys. I heard when you came back from wakestock you had some trouble getting back into the country. What is the deal are you an illegal alien?

MR: Well us english folk are only allowed in the States for 3months at a time with out a visa. Ive been out of country a few times and I think they think I am a drug lord. But I am working on getting a visa soon.

PW: One reason Britain is better then the USA?

MR: We got that queen even chest boards got one of those.

PW: What's your favorite food here in the states?

MR: Right now Bojangles but I like to mix it up a bit and keep the body guessing.

PW: One thing you miss about your home land?

MR: A good cup of Tea. I usually drink on average 5 cups a day. Here I just drink all this sugary fizziness.

PW:How you been riding lately? Been seeing a bunch of videos of you on the interwebz.

MR: Since living here at the projects Im spending all my time on the rails so far.Ive been "just lovin it" like Mcdonalds.

PW: Most Britons are pale white? How do you stay golden?

MR: Ive always had a sneaky suspicion that I might have some Jamaican in me. Me Mom spent some time in Jamaica before I was born so you never know.

PW: Best thing about living with Nate Perry?

MR:Always having someone to ride with who wants to hit rails as much as me. Nates riding has opened my eyes to many possibilities on rails.

PW: Worst thing about living with Nate Perry?

MR: "mack" Nates dog likes to tread water at the end of the rails so when you land you either have to bail out of the way or run him over.

PW: Best thing about riding for company?

MR: Being involved with the future of the sport. Company is everything I want to be apart of and Im stoked to be riding the best boards out there.

PW: Closing remarks?

MR: Gotta run now dude cruising over to buckingham palace for a meet with the queen. PEACE

Nicola Butler is a young female rider who has been making quite the name for herself in a very short time. Being known for quite some time now as a top contender at any contest. She goes huge and lots of style to compliment her air time.

Nicola 2010 Company Pro Model is called "The Wild Child". Its a lot stiffer then the previous board she was riding but still has enough flex for getting down on the rails. The company graphics are simple and clean. The board comes in 2 sizes which is a 134 and a 131. There is also a purple and white version of this board.

The 2010 board sidewalls are "seamless" 95A urethane sidewalls and were designed for extra smooth riding and durability. Urethane doesn't defend against impact, it absorbs it. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in pro wallz smoothes the interaction with water creating a more predictable cut.

Huntington Beach, CA - Quiksilver is promoting superior wake sport performance and individual expression with their new custom wrapped Axis Wake Research A22 wakeboard boat. These two companies have partnered to further their shared objectives of expanding a rider's skill-set, pride and style regardless of budget. They plan to demonstrate this message by pulling distinctive pro rider Randall "The Vandall" Harris, behind the industry's fastest growing value-class big wake boat brand. Next season, look to catch a ride with the Quiksilver A22 and The Vandall on the water near you.

The Quiksilver/Axis Wake partnership came about the way many great joint ventures do - respected friends suggested the connection. Riding for both Quiksilver and Axis Wake Research, Vandall was informed of Quiksilver's desire to obtain a performance-centric wakeboard boat that provides a good value. Corey Marotta of Alliance MultiMedia was also aware of Quiksilver's quest for big wakes and style for a reasonable price. Both suggested the Axis A22 and the rest is history.

"We're stoked to see these two brands come together and honored to be the conduit. The A22 is one of the best performing values in the wake boat market and with Quiksilver's reach and brand history, this partnership offers both companies an amazing way to spread each of their messages. And at the center is Vandall," explained Marotta.

Adam McCall, Managing Director for Axis Wake Research, was excited to associate his new unique wake boat brand with a powerhouse like Quiksilver, but even more intrigued by the similarities in the two companies' objectives. "Quiksilver and Axis Wake Research share an energy for improving the experiences of the sports we love." McCall continued, "It's because of this mutual focus, that we look forward to collaborating on many projects within the board sports industry."

As one of the world's largest boardsport companies, Quiksilver is dedicated to providing the gear that helps riders discover individuality and progress in water sports. Axis Wake Research shares this same commitment while at the same time bringing pride to the entry-level wakeboard boat buyer with big wakes, styling and a low price.

Blake Choate, Quiksilver Wake Team Manager, had this to say about the new Quicksilver/Axis partnership, "I'm super hyped on the partnership between Quiksilver and Axis. Quiksilver being one of the biggest boardsport companies, we were looking to partner up with a boat company with the best value and best wake. Axis was that company. We also share one of the top athletes in wakeboarding, Vandall. This made the marriage of the two companies seamless."

It is this set of values that Quiksilver plans to demonstrate with Axis A22 and The Vandall on tour next summer. Stay tuned to Quiksilver's Mountain and Wave Blog for stop dates and details. Or if you can't wait to test the new Axis A22 wakeboard boat, log on to AxisWake.com and find your nearest dealer for a personal A22 Drive N' Ride.
