And the Bets on are on! As the last stop of the 2009 Byerly Toe Jam Tour comes to an end at Orlando Water Sports, July 4th. The Odds are in and I am going to try to give you the best advice on where to place your money. I do not condone gambling and I actually discourage it. But if you were to place a bet, I want you to be educated.
Cable is never a shoe-in for any rider. There are riders who are classified as cable riders but as we've seen in the past this means nothing. Reed Hansen who is known for holding it down on the boat is just as scary under the cable. Reed is the reigning National US Cable champion and after his latest victory at OWC Reed seems the best choice. Nick Taylor is last years cable champion and is always a rider to be considered a good bet.
Brett Little is in town and has been riding at OWC every chance he gets after being on the Byerly Bus Tour. Brett has always been known as one of the craziest cable riders in the industry. John Raurk made an appearance at the Cable Nationals and I think hell be attending the last stop also. Ben Kaiser has been seen riding at OWC regularly also. Although I cant verify he will be riding we will just have to see, if he does show up expect him to impress.
With riders like Andrew Pastura, George Daniels, Steve Campbell, Brian Grubb, Ross Gardner all being known for good showings you might consider these guys for better odds. I am sure that there will be a stacked field of riders battling it out for the win. If I was a betting man I would put my money on Reed Hansen but who knows how it will end. Come out to OWC and watch the action with your own eyes.
If you cant make it make dont worry well have all the highlights on film.
