Cyclists try to remove fat bike from electric fence, hilarity ensues; video

Fat bikes are pretty popular right now, and it’s easy to see why: The wider tires allow cyclists the ability to easily conquer snow, mud, sand and generally any surface that might have suspect traction. They can be ridden essentially anywhere.

Unfortunately one of the pitfalls of being able to ride your bike to any remote location your heart desires is that you might come across a few obstacles you’ve never encountered before.

And a new viral video shows what happened when four cyclists learned that lesson the hard way after getting one of their fat bikes accidentally stuck on an electric fence:

The video’s YouTube description says that, “Whilst pedaling today my mate Paul went to put his bike over a fence. Half way though he realized that it was electric! So he dropped it on the fence. This is a video of him and my mate Al trying to get it off!”

As seen in the clip, Al and Paul’s efforts to extricate the bike from the charged fence took more then three minutes, involved the use of a large stick, elicited a bunch of swearing and resulted in the camera man nearly dying from laughter right at the 1:15-mark.

Enjoy laughing at their misfortune, and remember, stay safe out on the trails.
