Lole launches Give a Coat Start a Story program

If you hail from the active set and you’ve not yet discovered sportswear brand Lole (we hadn’t), this post is for you. Born in Montreal, Lole began its journey in 2002 with a focus on women’s wear that is “technical, versatile, and responds to the aspirations of active, urban women.” In addition to ensuring that functionality is foremost in their design process, Lole says it uses a sustainable approach to the life cycle of the items it produces by using renewable resources, such as organic cotton and polyester fibers that are made from recycled plastic bottles. We approve.

With social responsibility in mind, and for a limited time–now through Dec. 24–Lole is offering us a good reason to get to know its brand by way of a trade. Trade in a pre-loved coat to your local Lole Atelier or Lole Friends Store and under its Give a Coat Start a Story program, they will sell your used coat online and donate the proceeds to a local food bank. In return, you will receive a $50 gift card to use toward the purchase of a new Lole coat. Impressive. Do a good thing, reward yourself for it, and revel in consumerism at its best. We like Lole’s style. –Crishana Haynes
