Gear News: SlingFin launches extra durable pack with a look all its own

Known for their durable, rugged tents that can withstand even the rigors of Mt. Everest, when SlingFin decided to get into the world of backpacks, they knew they had to live up to the quality standards set by their other product offerings.

Enter the SlingFin Honey Badger: an extremely durable, completely waterproof backpack for cyclists looking to test the limits of what a pack is capable of.

According to the brand’s Kickstarter, featuring a lightweight, yet extremely durable exoskeleton made from polyeurthane, the 25-liter pack is semi-rigid, and carries more weight than a fabric pack due to its unique construction. Because the exoskeleton provides stability, there is no need for a heavy frame to keep the pack intact, reducing overall weight.

A magnetic buckle ensures quick opening and closing of the pack, and the material of the pack allows for a light to shine through, helping to eliminiate some of the danger associated with night cycling.

After extensive product development and research, the SlingFin Honey Badger is now available on Kickstarter, and the brand is already a third of the way toward their goal.
