Words and Photos: Aaron Smith
Here’s another round of a bunch of photos from back in 2011.
Johnny Layton has one of the best styles. He did this frontside shifty flip within a few tries. He is good!
This was my first time skating with Taylor Bingaman and it was impressive to say the least. He backside grinded this kink rail right when we got there and then did this crook a few tries later. He’s a rad guy to skate with!
Nick Merlino is so gnarly. He is one of the very few who have ever skated this massive drop in Long Beach. Why anyone skates it in the first place is still a mystery to me. He didn’t land this kickflip this trip but he did the next time he went back. Still, that catch is really good.
Ben Fisher frontside 180 fakie 5-0. Ben’s one of those guys that does the hardest tricks with no problem at all.
Jason Dill and ___________ wearing some glasses they found on the street.
Elijah Berle launch from the small quarter to 50-50.
This was the first time I meet Elijah. He had to pop out of this nosegrind to be able to land on the sidewalk. It was insane how comfortable he was on this sketchy rail. I’m really looking forward to his part in Pretty Sweet!
Check back next Friday for more photos.
