Skier Lindsey Vonn said she let her emotions get the best of her today when she posted a video on Facebook showing her hammering the binding on one of her skis.

During a downhill race Friday, her ski popped off after hitting some icy bumps, causing her to place second.

She managed to clinch her eigth downhill title, bringing her total World Titles to 20 overall, the most that has ever been won by a skier in history.

She has since deleted the video of her taking her anger out on the ski binding and issued an apology to the ski manufacturer which is also her sponsor, HEAD Skis.

“This was a huge mistake born out of the frustrating race I had today and was in no way, shape or form a reflection on the performance of the HEAD Race Team, and the HEAD skis and bindings which I race on and which have been instrumental in my success,” Vonn said on Instagram of the video. “In fact, thank goodness the binding released as it should, preventing a possible injury.”

Vonn has been getting lots of social media attention this week, following the posting of some behind the scenes footage from her Sports Illustrated photo shoot.

With everything else going on, Vonn said she is still awe-struck at her achievement.

“Today I won my 20th World Cup title….the most ever by a male or female…I can’t even comprehend what that means,” Vonn wrote on Facebook.
