This weekend, the third and final stop on Shaun White‘s Air + Style contest was held in Los Angeles at the Exposition Park in the Coliseum and Sven Thorgren was crowned the winner of the overall tour.

“I feel so stoked, I couldn’t be (happier) right now,” Thorgren said after receiving the ring of glory.

Snowboarder Yuki Kadono of Japan took first place at the Los Angeles stop. He managed to stick a frontside 1440 triple cork, which was one of the most difficult tricks landed during the contest.

The 2015-16 season started in Beijing and then stopped in Innsbruck, Austria. A winner takes first place at each stop and then the overall tour winner is crowned in Los Angeles.

A 16-story high jump is set up for riders who get three chances to rack up points based on style and complexity of their tricks.

Each consecutive round, riders get three runs and are scored on their best two runs.

The Air + Style is not just a snowboard competition, it’s also a music festival featuring performers like J. Cole, Incubus, Haim and Kaskade.

This year’s Air + Style was moved from its previous location at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, where strict noise limits hampered the live performers.
