When Travis Rice dropped his much-anticipated snowboard epic The Fourth Phase last year, the snowboard world was buzzing.
With his previous film The Art of Flight setting what some might consider to be a new benchmark for modern snowboard cinema, he had a serious act to follow. Thankfully, Rice is a man who continually pushes himself to up the ante.
Now, the fine crew over at Red Bull have just released what they call the “all killer and no filler” cut of the film, consisting of straight punk rock and insane snow footage.
They call it the The Fourth Phase Action Cut, and they do so for good reason. This is just straight shredding from beginning to end.
Set to the classic punk rock soundtrack of NOFX’s 18-minute-long song “The Decline” it’s reminiscent of snowboard films from the 1990s/early 2000s.
“From the backcountry of Wyoming to the snowy Japanese Alps, the volcanoes of Russia, and a spectacularly remote area of Alaska, Travis Rice and crew reinvent what is considered possible on a snowboard,” Red Bull stated.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can purchase The Fourth Phase for an amazing glimpse into the world of Mr. Travis Rice and friends.
