Adam Sharp Named As Marketing Director For Rip Curl USA

Rip Curl International has today announced the 2003 appointment of Adam Sharp to the role of Marketing Director for Lowers Inc, it’s USA based operation in Carlsbad, California.

Sharp’s appointment comes after year’s of working for Rip Curl Australia in both Sydney and Torquay, most recently as Marketing Manager for the Australian region.

Sharp brings an array of international market experience to the role, with specialist skills covering various areas such as the electronic media, core events and projects, strategic partnerships, and all facets of brand management.

Sharp’s background will compliment the existing strengths of the USA marketing team, including people such as Mike ‘Bones’ Makos, Scott ‘Pod’ Baneulos, and Ted Luna, all surf/snow/skate enthusiasts who know the core of the surf culture. Previously, Adam’s core experience has stemmed from being a director of ASP WCT events, four years as a highly credentialed ASP World Tour Judge, and years of core market experience dealing with athletes, core projects, and the surf media. He remains a committed surfer and snowboarder like the rest of the Rip Curl USA Ad/Promo crew.

Adam will assume the full time role in the USA from late February/early March.
