ASP World Tour Live Scoring Now Powered by PacSun

COOLANGATTA, Australia (Tuesday, September 16, 2008) – Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) International and US-based retailer Pacific Sunwear (PacSun) have partnered to bring you live scoring at all ASP World Tour events for the remainder of 2008.

After launching at last week's Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley, the partnership will be featured in the upcoming Dream Tour events: the Quiksilver Pro France (September 19 – 28), the Billabong Pro Mundaka (September 29 – October 12), the Hang Loose Santa Catarina Pro (October 28 – November 5) and the Billabong Pipeline Masters (December 8 – 20).

"We're thrilled to have PacSun on board to power live scoring for the rest of the year," Brodie Carr, ASP International CEO, said. "We've been developing the live scoring over the past few years and it has become an integral part of the webcasts. It's exciting that PacSun has come on for the remainder of 2008 to align themselves with the world's best surfers in the world's best waves."

In addition to being a fixture at the remaining ASP World Tour events this season, PacSun-powered live scores will also be featured in this winter's Hawaiian ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) events, consisting of the ASP WQS 6-Star Prime Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa, the ASP WQS 6-Star Prime O'Neill World Cup at Sunset Beach and wrapping with the Billabong Pipeline Masters (an ASP World Tour event).

"The ASP World Tour live scoring and webcasts are arguably one of the most exciting technological advances the surfing industry has seen in the last decade," Stacie Perry, PacSun Action Sports Marketing Manager, said. "PacSun is stoked to partner with the ASP to continue to bring the most elite surfing in the world live to fans across the globe, regardless of their proximity to the ocean."

The Quiksilver Pro France, with a waiting period running from September 19 – 28, 2008, is the next stop on the 2008 ASP World Tour and will feature the PacSun-powered live scores tallying the ASP Top 45 and will be webcast LIVE via
