etnies Celebrates its 20 Year Anniversary and Takes Over NYC

Lake Forest , Calif. — In celebration of etnies’ 20 Year Anniversary and the grand opening of the New York showroom in SoHo, April 1-8 was a full week of partying and absolute mayhem, not to mention a little rain, snow and neighborhood complaints, which we consider complimentary, ‘cuz it just means etnies knows how to throw a party.

The week began with a VIP luncheon for the grand opening of the new showroom and the official unveiling of the etnies’ Soles of Fame. etnies’ Owner Pierre Andre Senizergues, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Don Brown, etnies team riders, media, retailers, government officials and architect and design teams, were all in attendance to kick off the celebration.

The four-level showroom was then transformed for the etnies 20 Year Anniversary party that set the pace for the year-long celebration as the first city stop of the etnies 20 year mantra — three cities, two decades, one ride. From media to industry influencers to retailers, more than 800 people showed up at 29 Greene Street to get down—including pro surfers Keith Malloy and Mary Osborne.

By show time, anxious party goers were beating the doors down and made their way inside to see the new showroom and drooled over the glass-enclosed special-edition NYC Rap Highs, the rooftop mini ramp, a graffiti mural by renowned artist Jon One, and the etnies 20 year timeline showcased in the basement art gallery. With open bars, music and tomfoolery on all levels, you know a good time was had by all.

The space was filled all night until about 1:00 a.m. when the NYPD finally came through the doors after more than 25 neighborhood complaints. One city down, two more to go.
